About Our Family

This year’s ASID Bobcat Build Family is the Sprotts.  They are a family of 8, but the many of their children have grown and left the family home in south San Marcos.  The father, Roger, is a recently retire 28-year veteran of the San Marcos Police Department.  His wife Barbara was an RN for 20 years, and is now a certified private counselor.  Barbara has had lupus, an auto-immune disorder, for nearly 25 years and fibromyalgia for the last 5.  Their youngest daughter, Nichole, is a Sophomore at San Marcos High School.

With last year’s family our main concern was providing them with a clean, safe home.  As the Sprotts have a nicer home and keep it very clean, our focus is to provide a home environment that is brighter, and more comfortable as Barbara and her husband begin spending more time in their home environments, and less time at work.  As you can probably guess, a large part of their income goes toward their children’s educations and medical expenses.  We want to take this opportunity to pamper and thank this wonderful family that has spent the last 30 years giving to the San Marcos community.
