Mary Guevedo is a single mother of two, who is no longer able to support her children as a bus monitor due to a severe injury.  They recently moved into a house that was left to Ms. Guevedo after her mother’s death. As a result of poor craftsmanship during the house’s construction and neglect by the previous residents, the building has fallen into serious disrepair.  Our primary concern is the family’s health and safety, but we would also like to provide them with a comfortable home with more than just the bare essentials.  Our fundraising goal for the project was $4000, and we were able to raise $3,710.  Our main priorities were replacing the flooring and mattresses as well as repainting the walls.
